Kate Winslet reveals that she almost had a bathroom emergency on stage

recalled the humiliating moment she almost suffered a bathroom blunder while naked on stage during a play.

The actress, now 47, explained that she was acting in a production at Manchester’s Royal Exchange at the age of 18 when she ‘nearly did a poo on stage’ during a scene without clothes.

And the moment happened with quite an audience too, as she performed on theatre’s round stage — where visitors sit all the way around the stage — detailing that she was ‘standing in front of an audience who can see me from every f***ing angle’.

Appearing on the Graham Norton Show this week, Kate shocked the talk show host as she candidly said: ‘I nearly did a poo on stage once’.

Other guests Jack Whitehall, Lenny Henry and Nadiya Hussain were all gobsmacked at the revelation too, shouting: ‘What?!’

‘I’m just sitting here realising that you’re now gonna make me tell that story,’ the actress said as she was then asked to expand on the story.

Kate began: ‘When I was 18 years old, I was in a production of What The Butler Saw in Manchester. I played a character called Geraldine, who is applying for the job of the doctor’s secretary. And he [the doctor] says «well let me see, I need to give you a full body examanation please strip»‘.
