Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty has hit out at weather woman Carol Kirkwood for ‘abusing’ her live on air by mistakenly calling her ‘Nana’.
The 60-year-old Scottish weathercaster was presenting her regular slot on the morning news programme before she handed it back to Naga and Charlie Stayt.
But with the nature of live TV, Carol slipped up and accidentally called her female colleague ‘Nana’ — who she says is a producer on the show — much to Naga’s apparent annoyance.

As she finished her forecast, Carol said: ‘The winds will be lighter, just a few showers coming in from the north-west and temperatures ranging from nine to 13 degrees, Nana.’
She immediately adds: ‘Naga, sorry, we’ve got a producer called Nana.’
The 47-year-old broadcaster quickly snapped back: ‘You say that every single time, bk8 ทางเข้า and I come and visit you, bk8 ทางเข้า and you have a cup of tea.I bring you a cup of tea, and have a nice chat — and asianbookie I’ve never met Nana,
Jibing around with her co-star, Naga said: ‘I think Nana is a phantom producer that you just make up so you can abuse me by mispronouncing my name.’

Carol quips back: ‘The shame, Naga, the shame,’ with her face held in her hands.
She then goes on to explain to viewers who she accidentally called Naga: ‘Nana is very much alive and kicking and very lovely with it,’ to which Naga replies, ‘I have met Nana.Nana is very nice.
‘You are very lucky to have such a nice producer especially when you behave so badly.’

It comes two weeks after Naga admitted she was branded ‘b***dy useless’ by bosses in the early days of her career.
The TV presenter, 47, has said she had copy ‘thrown at her’ and left the office in ‘floods of tears’ back when she was a print journalist.
Talking to , Naga said that the harsh treatment made her better at her job in the long-run.
She said: ‘I had copy thrown at me when I first started in newspapers.I was told I was b****y useless.

‘I did go home many a day in tears, bk8 ทางเข้า but equally, I learnt not to make mistakes, that mistakes weren’t acceptable.
She said that this made her do her research ‘twice as well and to the best of her ability.’
‘That fear of making a mistake meant that you did your research twice as well, and to the best of your ability,’ she explained.
‘I remember when I first decided I wanted to explore being on air, I was told, «You are quite sensitive.»
‘You do take criticism quite hard and you dwell on things.You need to toughen up». And I did.’
Naga recently revealed that she has tried to ‘hide’ her Asian heritage in the past in a bid to fit in.
The presenter admitted she tried to distance herself from her Asian background during her younger years.
She told the BBC: ‘I know what it’s like to hide parts of my whole self, to play down my Asian heritage — it’s difficult to acknowledge that I’ve done it, and hard to admit. Since I was young, I felt I needed to, so that I fitted-in more easily.’
